=== Minecraft in Scratch ===
One of the first projects that GL00B documented on his YouTube was a [[wikipedia:Minecraft|Minecraft]] clone made in [[wikipedia:Scratch_(programming_language)|Scratch]]. The first preview of this project was on August 23, 2023 in the video "Minecraft Is in scratch now", previewing terrain generation.<ref>[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3R37bnrH1M&t=73s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3R37bnrH1M]</ref>[[File:Minecraft Is in scratch now.png|thumb|A frame from GL00B's "Minecraft Is in scratch now" video]]
Posted on February 16, 2024 "''MINECRAFT ON SCRATCH''", the description gives more detail on what methods were used to be made those being Raytracing and DDA with plans to add shadows.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQ9--zuHPps</ref>

Only three days later on February 19, 2024 the video "testing MINECRAFT in SCRATCH with RAYTRACING & REFLECTIONS" was posted showcasing shadows and reflections.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPN4o8TjD8I</ref>

On July 7, 2024, GL00B would post a video named "Minecraft on SCRATCH?", remaking the entire project in a sped up video.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcM7jYIRsfI</ref>

===== Release =====
On February 24, 2025 the project "Minecraft v1.1" would be shared on scratch. You are able to build and destroy but besides that there's not much crazy to note.

=== Duke Nukem Remake ===
GL00B's [[wikipedia:Duke_Nukem|Duke Nukem]] remake is the only project documented that was not released to the public.

The first preview for this project was on April 12, 2024, named "test video" and shows some very simple mechanics of the game such as doors opening and movement. The description makes the video seem like it was to be shared as what he could do with 3D in scratch.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QC5WR-ubvg</ref>
[[File:Frame from Testing dn3D.png|thumb|A frame from GL00B's video "testing dn3D" ]]Later on the same day of April 12, 2024, GL00B published the video "testing dn3D" with alot of noticeable differences from the first those mainly being gameplay with gun shooting a HUD and destroyable and interactive objects. Additionally it also showed off moving textures.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoaagOou6wc</ref>

On July 6, 2024, the video "FIRST legit remake of DUKE NUKEM 3D on SCRATCH!" was published previewing a fully finished game with a enitity system, AI, and 3D bullets. Although impressive, it was never released to the public.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzMrCxCh3Dg</ref>
=== Minecraft in Scratch ===

===== Release =====
On February 24, 2025 the project "Minecraft v1.1" would be shared on scratch. You are able to build and destroy but besides that there's not much crazy to note.

=== Duke Nukem Remake ===

The '''Manual of Style''' is a set of rules that keeps every page on the [[Glue3D Wiki]] looking and feeling consistent. Following these guidelines makes the Wiki more professional and easier to read.
For more explanation, look at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Simplified_Manual_of_Style

Or for a more detailed explination, I recommend looking at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style

(this covers everything, so stuff might be off-topic for Glue3D)

== Tone and Voice ==
Always write from a neutral, third-person perspective.

{| class="wikitable"
|-
! DON'T write !! DO write
|-
| "I think this mod is really cool" || "This mods adds real time multiplayer to Glue3D."
|-
| "You should download this right now" || "The download links are available on the mod's GitHub repository." (although, we usually just add the link in the infobox)
|-
| "My mod is best for optimization" || "This mod focuses on optimizing certain aspects of the engine."
|}
Avoid opinions, commands ("you must"), and first-person pronouns ("I", "we", "my"). Just describe what exists how it works.

== Standard Article Layout ==
Most Glue3D Wiki articles should follow this structure:

<pre><nowiki>
'''Page Name''' is a [definition sentence] that does [stuff explain in a simplified matter, or the main objective of the thing you're talking about].

== Features ==
What does it do? List key capabilities.

== Usage ==
How does someone actually use it? (For mods/tools)

== History ==
When was it created? Major updates?

== See Also ==
* [[Related Page 1]]
* [[Related Page 2]]

[[Category:Modifications]]
</nowiki></pre>
Adjust sections as needed. Some pages might need <nowiki><code>Syntax</code> or <pre>With multiple lines of codes</pre></nowiki>. But always start with the bolded definition and end with categories.

{{Info|Main article: [https://en.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Block%20Plugin Block Plugin]}}
This wiki also supports the [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:ScratchBlocks ScratchBlocks] extension, so you can "write" Scratch blocks instead of having to screenshot them (and possibly have a low quality image).

'''Example:'''
<scratchblocks>
define dance (speed)
set [dist v] to ((speed) * (distance to (mouse-pointer v)))
if <(distance to [mouse-pointer v]) > (10)> then
repeat until <(timer) > [10]>
move (dist) steps
next costume
play note (pick random (40) to (100)) for (0.5) beats
say [Wow! Scratch scripts on the Wiki!]
end
end
</scratchblocks>

'''Code:'''
<pre>
define dance (speed)
set [dist v] to ((speed) * (distance to (mouse-pointer v)))
if <(distance to [mouse-pointer v]) > (10)> then
repeat until <(timer) > [10]>
move (dist) steps
next costume
play note (pick random (40) to (100)) for (0.5) beats
say [Wow! Scratch scripts on the Wiki!]
end
end
</pre>

== Capitalization & Page Titles ==

{| class="wikitable"
|-
! Type of page !! Rule !! Example
|-
| Mod names || Title Case (capitalize major words) || <nowiki>[[Glue3D Community Edition]], not [[Glue 3d commmunity edition]]</nowiki>
|-
| General concepts || lowercase, except proper nouns || ...<nowiki>[[custom blocks]]</nowiki>
|-
| Tutorials || Sentence case || <nowiki>[[How_to:Export_a_model]]</nowiki>
|}
One more rule: Page titles should be singular not plural. Use <nowiki>[[Shader]]</nowiki>, not <nowiki>[[Shaders]]</nowiki>.

== Images & Media ==
A wiki without images is boring. Here's how to add them:

=== Step 1 / Upload: ===
Go to '''[[Special:Upload]]'''. Choose your image file (.png, .jpg or .webm recommended). Give it a descriptive name like Glue3D_model_example.png.

=== Step 2 / Insert: ===

In the editor, type:

<code><nowiki>[[File:Glue3D_model_example.png|thumb|480x360px|right|This a custom model imported in the engine.]]</nowiki></code>

{| class="wikitable"
|-
! Parameter example !! What it does
|-
| thumb || Creates a framed, resizable thumbnail
|-
| 480x360px || Sets width and height in pixels
|-
| right || Floats the image to the right of text, there's also left and center, but right
|-
| caption text || Displayed below the image
|}

Keep screenshots clear and relevant. No memes or off-topic images.

So remember, Don't Be Like Matt

'''Glue3D''' is a 3D game engine built within [[wikipedia:Scratch_(programming_language)|Scratch]], developed by [[GL00B]]. It combines three distinct [[Rendering|3D rendering techniques]] to enable features such as [[textured rendering]], [[model editing]], [[bone keyframe animations]], [[scripting]], [[file management]], as well as [[game exporting]].
== Development History ==
Development began around '''May 13, 2025''' initially focusing on testing UI elements and establishing an "Aero" window style before the full engine concept was finished.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiwcNo5_0b8</ref>

* '''June 26, 2025:''' The core UI was implemented, featuring slight modified icons, though no 3D capabilities yet. The game window just showed a sine wave.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWCEVs12euk</ref>
* '''July 7, 2025:''' GL00B showcased a basic 3D engine prototype only utilizing the [[2D tile raycasting]] and [[wikipedia:Mode_7|Mode 7]] techniques.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUt1fxKGzNU</ref>
* '''July 19, 2025:''' Just 12 days later, [[wikipedia:Mipmap|mipmapping]] was implemented to improve texture quality at a distance. Around this time, he was also trying to figure out how to implement 3D models in Glue3D.
* '''August 19, 2025:''' An announcement on the Glue3D Discord server revealed the addition of perspective-correct slopes, early 3D model support, and custom textures.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPwafr7Z15E</ref>
* '''August 22, 2025:''' A sneek peek video titled "Glue3d - a whole 3d game engine inside scratch" was released on GL00B's YouTube channel, previewing the 3D rendering, built-in modeler, and script editor.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfVMYJDAbjw</ref>
* '''September 4-15, 2025:''' The project reached a milestone of 18,839 blocks (rounded to 20k by GL00B in his announcement). Shortly after, support for [[Blocks|stereo/mono blocks]] was added, and a beta testing program was opened to select users.

== Release ==
Glue3D officially released on '''January 31, 2026'''. The launch was met with praise from the community for its technical achievements.

However, the initial release faced backlash due to a last-minute decision to obfuscate the code. This move prevented users from modding the engine or understanding its inner workings. In response to community pressue and the efforts of users attempting to deobfuscate the engine, GL00B released the original unobfuscated code under the version '''1.0.1''', restoring transparency and enabling modding support.

== Development History ==
Development began around '''May 13, 2025''' initially focusing on testing UI elements and establishing an "Aero" window style before the full engine concept was finished.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiwcNo5_0b8</ref>

* '''June 26, 2025:''' The core UI was implemented, featuring slight modified icons, though no 3D capabilities yet. The game window just showed a sine wave.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWCEVs12euk</ref>
* '''July 7, 2025:''' GL00B showcased a basic 3D engine prototype only utilizing the [[2D tile raycasting]] and [[wikipedia:Mode_7|Mode 7]] techniques.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUt1fxKGzNU</ref>
* '''August 22, 2025:''' A sneek peek video titled "Glue3d''[sic]'' - a whole 3d''[sic]'' game engine inside scratch''[sic]''" was released on GL00B's YouTube channel, previewing the 3D rendering, built-in modeler, and script editor.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfVMYJDAbjw</ref>
* '''September 4-15, 2025:''' The project reached a milestone of 18,839 blocks (rounded to 20k by GL00B in his announcement). Shortly after, support for [[Blocks|stereo/mono blocks]] was added, and a beta testing program was opened to select users.

== Release ==

The first preview of this project was on August 23, 2023 in the video "Minecraft Is in scratch now", previewing terrain generation.<ref>[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3R37bnrH1M&t=73s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3R37bnrH1M]</ref>
On February 24, 2025 the project "Minecraft v1.1" would be shared on scratch. You are able to build and destroy but besides that there's not much crazy to note.

'''G3DScript''', or '''Glue3DScript''' is a [[wikipedia:Programming_language|medium-high level programming language]] made for [[Glue3D]]. It's syntactically simple and interacts with an [[objects]] data directly. Unlike [[wikipedia:Godot_(game_engine)#GDScript|GDScript]], G3DScript is almost entirely set up of codes similar to [[wikipedia:Function_(computer_programming)|functions]], every block being made up of:

* a [[wikipedia:Class_(programming)|class]] (or a "category")
* a name for [[wikipedia:Identification_(information)|identification]]
* block's [[wikipedia:Argument_of_a_function|arguments]].

This simple [[wikipedia:Syntax|syntax]] makes it easy to interpret for both developers and Glue3D itself.

== How it works ==
Glue3D has two rendering modes for [[scripts]], block-based editor and text-based editor, and developers can switch between these editor by changing the script editor tab, though most people prefer the block-based editor since it's easier visually and faster to use.

Even though these rendering modes are visually distinct, they still function the same, the only difference being you can edit and add "custom"<ref>a '''custom block''' in '''G3DScript''' is an unidentified block, they're not actually called this but they don't have any name. A custom block appears when a block is written or placed that '''doesn't have an entry in the engine's autocomplete''', they appear white and are '''different''' from blocks '''without a color''' or blocks '''without definition'''.</ref> blocks easier on the '''Text-based editor'''. In the block and text-based editors, the engine uses it's internal autocomplete list, which holds every category; each category containing every block, it's display name, and icon. The block-based editor uses it to show categories and the blocks on the sidebar, and the text based editor using it as an autocomplete. When programming in new blocks side effects can occur, like '''blocks without color'''<ref>a '''block without color''' is when a category, input, or general text doesn't have an entry in the engine's ''text coloration'' list, which holds the brightness and color of a bunch of text, it's used to color whole blocks, some parts of block inputs, and a bunch of other important words.</ref> or '''blocks without definition'''<ref>An '''undefined block''' is a block that doesn't have any code regarding it, usually categories have a function that typically read decoded G3DScript elements to determine what block it is and what code to run, but a n undefined block doesn't have this code or hasn't been hooked up yet.</ref>.

A block can also only have 4 inputs, and they are typically one of 3 inputs types; strings, values, and variables. Though this isn't the same for some mods.
'''Droplets Utilities''', also known as '''Droplets Utils''', was one of the first [[Modding|Glue3D mods]] released, created by [[Droplets21]].<ref>https://droplets21.itch.io/droplet-utils</ref> It was made for quality-of-life use with [[Glue3D]], specifically for easier use in compiled versions of the engine, but slowly expanded into a larger general purpose mod. It was later succeeded by [[Glue3D Community Edition]]

== History ==

=== '''Droplets Utils v1.0''' ===
This was the first version of Droplets Utils, with changes to config gui and some planned asset features for easier use in compiled versions of Glue3D. This was just the release of Droplets Utils but it still didn't offer much.

=== '''Droplets Utils v1.2''' ===
This version was the next published version of Droplets, this version having many more changes, like an empty "utils" tab in the configuration, supposed clipboard support, an ''assign variable'' block ''objects'' category, export features using a ''.g3d'' file format, and [[wikipedia:Visual_Studio_Code|Visual Studio Code]] support using a [[G3DScript]] plugin made by [[Savvy]]. This update featured a lot more stuff but yet there were still many issues, and no patch notes.

=== '''Droplets Utils v2.1''' ===
This version was the third published version of Droplets Utils, adding many promising features like a proper config tab with clipboard settings, and patch notes. Here are changes made to the version according to the patch notes:
* Added and fixed some importing and exporting related features
* added and increased support for .glue3d files
* added clipboard features, like script update. fixed any found related bugs
* added config page and settings, like toggling clipboard access
* added fail-safes, fixed some bugs, and added the patch notes
* removed the help menu
These features were pretty good and had changed what type of mod Droplets Utils was, mostly, it was still unusuable by Droplets's standards.[[File:V3 Droplet Utils g3dlive tab screenshot.png|thumb|363x363px|Droplet Utils version 3, showcasing joining a server]]

=== '''Droplets Utils v2.2''' ===
It was the next published version of Droplets Utils, this update added many things so lets read the patch notes:
* Added function-functionality (added [[wikipedia:Function_(computer_programming)|functions]])
* Added more controls to the script editor
* Fixed some edit menu options
* Removed the ability to name two files the same
* Added "Droplets" window skin
* Added more config settings, like toolbar size
* Fixed assign variable block
* Upgraded the file import menu and fixed some issues (unspecified)
* Added function documentation
This update added a lot of interesting features, by this point Droplets Utils was somewhat well-known and somewhat considered an alternative for base Glue3D.

=== '''Droplets Utils v3.0''' ===
[[File:V3 Droplet Utils dev screenshot.png|thumb|363x363px]]It was the last published version of Droplets Utils, this updated added a lot, more than any other update. Unfortunately, this was a beta version, so there are no patch notes. Here's a list of every noticeable change:
* Added "installable" "plugins" which we're really just hidden block categories, some of these we're actually made by modders like [[vuie68]]
* Added a template function to the import menu (might have been in '''V2.2'''
* Added graphics manager tab, it's use is somewhat explained by Droplets21 in this reply to [[vuie68]]; ''"graphics editor is basically the costumes tab in [[wikipedia:Scratch_(programming_language)|scratch]], you can import [[wikipedia:SVG|svgs]] or [[wikipedia:PNG|pngs]] as graphics files, which will be added as costumes in turbowarp this means you don't have to exit the engine to add costumes"''

* Added live tab

The live tab was a planned feature called Glue3DLive and it was meant to allow developers to work together on projects. The only problem it ever actually had was the tools used, since CloudLink didn't work at the time, the feature never ended up being realised.

'''Modding''' in [[Glue3D]] refers to the practice of modifying the game engine to add new features, gameplay mechanics, removed features, or improving performance.

== History ==
From the initial release of Glue3D due to obfuscated code, a select few people would try to deobfuscate it, those people being:

* [[SkyisTumbling]]

* Cubester

* Derpygamer2142

* [[Llwyd]]

* [[Matt]]

While being able to deobfuscate it about 60% because of Llwyd having access to unobfuscated beta versions, both SkyisTumbling and Llwyd were able to put together a deobfuscated version<ref>https://github.com/GL00B/GLUE3D/pull/7/changes/3446a71d1359bd5c55ab394fd9369d8cb07f7180</ref>. Later, Matt would make YouTube videos showcasing this deobfuscated build that would push [[GL00B]] to eventually release a fully open source version.

== Plugin Development ==
Although, short plugin history was the first form of mod for Glue3D, these are plugins that don't directly modify the code of Glue3D, making them originally allowed to be made and easy to use.

Some plugins are "Clipboard Input" by YeaHea, "Save and Load" by [[Droplets21]] and "Random Noise Texture Generator" By Manham528. While simple, they were much more common around the initial release of Glue3D due to them not having to deal with obfuscated code.

== List of Engines ==
This section will give a small overview of these engines.

=== Inactive modded engines ===

==== Droplets Utils ====
''Main article: [[Droplets Utils]]''

Droplets Utils was the first modded client made by [[Droplets21]] built off of the unobfuscated build. It introduced:

* Custom functions
* Visual Studio Code support
* New controller blocks
* UI fixes
''Main article: [[Solvent]]''

Solvent is the oldest modded client made by [[Matt]], originally built on the obfuscated version. It was initially developed as its own project but later forked '''Droplets Utils''', adding:

* Mod loader
* Update checker
* Custom keybinds
* Pop-up system
* Performance optimizations

==== Bluu3D ====
Bluu3D, also known as Better3D, is a lightweight client made by Lex that added:

* 85-degree camera yaw support
* Tweaked sounds
* Faster load times
''Main article: [[Glue3D Optimization Project]]''

Glue3D Optimization Project, is a project made by GoldenYoshi924 with the main intention of optimizing certain aspects of Glue3D.

==== Geo3D ====
Geo3D is a mod developed by Droplets21 that let's you make online multiplayer games. It adds:

* Online blocks (using OE3, made by Droplets21)
* Multiple systems<sup>''[what systems?]''</sup>
* Other undisclosed features

=== Actively supported engines ===

==== Glue3D Community Edition ====
''Main article: [[Glue3D Community Edition]]''

Glue3D Community Edition is a fork of Glue3D, maintained by Droplets21. It adds most of the features from the previous, inactive mods, such as:

* Enhanced text editor controls
* Additional block categories
* Performance optimizations

=== Cancelled engines ===

==== GorillaGlue3D ====
''Main article: [[GorillaGlue3D]]''

Developed by Droplets21 to start over from Droplets Utils, it adds:

* Full real-time multiplayer support
* Mod support

'''Modding''' in [[Glue3D]] refers to the practice of modifying the game engine to add new features, gameplay mechanics, removed features, or improving performance.

== History ==
From the initial release of Glue3D due to obfuscated code, a select few people would try to deobfuscate it, those people being:

* [[SkyisTumbling]]

* Cubester

* Derpygamer2142

* [[Llwyd]]

* [[Matt]]

== Plugin Development ==
Although, short plugin history was the first form of mod for Glue3D, these are plugins that don't directly modify the code of Glue3D, making them originally allowed to be made and easy to use.

Some plugins are "''Clipboard Input''" by YeaHea, "''Save and Load''" by [[Droplets21]] and "''Random Noise Texture Generator''" By Manham528. While simple they were much more common around the initial release of Glue3D due to them not having to deal with obfuscated code.

== List of Engines ==
This section will give a small overview of these engines.

'''glue3d.net''', maintained by [[deniskincses]] and [[QuantumBaller]], is a website dedicated to the [[Glue3D]] community. It hosts a [[Glue3D_forums|forum]] and [[Glue3D_Wiki|wiki]] focused on [[projects]], [[documentation]], and community discussion.

== History ==
[[File:Glue3dwebsiteinitallook.png|thumb|359x359px|Early look of the hypothetical website]]
The origins of glue3d.net date back to September 6, 2025, when deniskincses shared a concept image in the Glue3D Discord server depicting a hypothetical Glue3D-themed website. The design was heavily impsired by 2000s website aesthetics, featuring a simple way to navigate the whole website. Later that same day, the concept was recreated in [[wikipedia:HTML|HTML]] with the intention of becoming a real platform focused on project sharing and community interatcion.

On October 3, 2025, [[GL00B]] would contact deniskincses regarding the prototype website after another community member, later known as QuantumBaller, expressed interest in turning the idea into a fully functional website with its own domain. Development of the site then became a collaborative effor.

Early plans for glue3d.net included a fully custom-built forum software designed specifically for the community. The planned forum featured several unique ideas, including selectable default profile pictures with different color variants and various community-focused systems. However development of the custom software eventually became difficult to maintain due to technical issues and instability.

Around December 2025, development shifted toward existing forum solutions as an alternative to the custom software, like DjangoBB, the same forum that the Scratch website runs, and PunkwebBB. [[wikipedia:PhpBB|phpBB]] was finally adopted as the site's forum platform, allowing the community to continue operating while reducing maintenance complexity. Despite this, the forum later became corrupted in early February 2026, forcing the forums into a temporary hiatus while work began on a replacement forum and updated styling.

At the same time, glue3d.net continue development alongside the release of Glue3D itself. Although the launch was accompanied by numerous technical issues and unfinished features, the website sucessfully went online and established itself as a central hub for the Glue3D community.

=== "Minecraft in Scratch" ===
One of the first projects that GL00B documented and worked on was a [[wikipedia:Minecraft|Minecraft]] clone made in [[wikipedia:Scratch_(programming_language)|Scratch]].

The first preview of this project was on August 23, 2023 in the video "''Minecraft Is in scratch now''", previewing terrain generation<ref>[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3R37bnrH1M&t=73s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3R37bnrH1M]</ref>.
[[File:Minecraft Is in scratch now.png|thumb|A frame from Gl00b's ''Minecraft Is in scratch now'' video]]
Posted on February 16, 2024 "''MINECRAFT ON SCRATCH''", the description gives more detail on what methods were used to be made those being Raytracing and DDA with plans to add shadows<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQ9--zuHPps</ref>.

Only three days later on February 19, 2024 the video "''testing MINECRAFT in SCRATCH with RAYTRACING & REFLECTIONS''" was posted showcasing shadows and reflections<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPN4o8TjD8I</ref>.

Posted on July 7, 2024 and shows GL00B remaking the entire project in a sped up video. The video named "''Minecraft on SCRATCH!?''" is more of a tutorial, than a preview and is named<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcM7jYIRsfI</ref>.

===== Release =====
On February 24, 2025 the project "'''Minecraft v1.1'''" would be shared on scratch. You are able to build and destroy but besides that there's not much crazy to note.

=== "Duke Nukem Remake" ===
GL00Bs [[wikipedia:Duke_Nukem|Duke Nukem]] remake is the only project documented that was not released to the public.

The first preview for this project was on April 12, 2024, named "'''test video'''<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QC5WR-ubvg</ref>" and shows some very simple mechanics of the game such as doors opening and movement. The description makes the video seem like it was to be shared as what he could do with 3D in scratch.
[[File:Frame from Testing dn3D.png|thumb|A frame from Gl00b's video ''testing dn3D'' ]]Later on the same day of April 12, 2024, GL00B published the video "'''testing dn3D'''<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoaagOou6wc</ref>" with alot of noticeable differences from the first those mainly being gameplay with gun shooting a HUD and destroyable and interactive objects. Additionally it also showed off moving textures.

On July 6, 2024, the video "'''FIRST legit remake of DUKE NUKEM 3D on SCRATCH!'''<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzMrCxCh3Dg</ref>" was published previewing a fully finished game with a enitity system, AI, and 3D bullets. Although impressive, it was never released to the public.
It was later succeeded by [[Glue3D Community Edition]]
== History ==

=== '''v1.0''' ===
This was the first version of Droplets Utils, with changes to config gui and some planned asset features for easier use in compiled versions of Glue3D. This was just the release of ''Dr Utils'' but it still didn't offer much.

=== '''v1.2''' ===
was the next published version of Droplets, this version having many more changes, like an empty "utils" tab in the configuration, supposed clipboard support, an ''assign variable'' block ''objects'' category, export features using a ''.g3d'' file format, and [[wikipedia:Visual_Studio_Code|Visual Studio Code]] support using a [[G3DScript]] plugin made by [[Savvy]]. This update featured a lot more stuff but yet there were still many issues, and no patch notes.

=== '''v2.1''' ===
was the third published version of Droplets Utils, adding many promising features like a proper config tab with clipboard settings, and patch notes!
* removed the help menu
* these features we're pretty good and had changed what type of mod ''Dr Utils'' was, mostly, it was still "unstable and very bad" - Droplets21, 2026.

=== '''v2.2''' ===
was the next published version of ''Dr Utils'', this update added many things so lets read the patch notes:
* added function-functionality (added [[wikipedia:Function_(computer_programming)|functions]])
* added more controls to the script editor
* fixed some edit menu options
* removed the ability to name two files the same
* added droplet theme
* added more config settings, like toolbar size
* fixed assign variable block
* upgraded the file import menu and fixed some issues (unspecified)
* added function documentation
* removed the help menu
*
* this update added a lot of interesting and very good features, by this point ''Dr Utils'' was somewhat well-known and ''somewhat'' considered an alternative for base Glue3D.
was the last published version of ''Droplets Utils'', this updated added a lot, more than any other update, unfortunately this version was a beta so there are no patch notes, so here is every noticeable change:
* added "installable" "plugins" which we're really just hidden block categories, some of these we're actually made by modders like [[vuie68]]
* added a template function to the import menu (might have been in '''V2.2'''
* added graphics manager tab, it's use is somewhat explained by Droplets21 in this reply to [[vuie68]]; ''"graphics editor is basically the costumes tab in [[wikipedia:Scratch_(programming_language)|scratch]], you can import [[wikipedia:SVG|svgs]] or [[wikipedia:PNG|pngs]] as graphics files, which will be added as costumes in turbowarp this means you don't have to exit the engine to add costumes"Re''
This was the first version of Droplets Utils, with changes to config gui and some planned asset features for easier use in compiled versions of Glue3D. This was just the release of ''Dr Utils'' but it still didn't offer much.

=== '''v1.2''' ===
was the next published version of Droplets, this version having many more changes, like an empty "utils" tab in the configuration, supposed clipboard support, an ''assign variable'' block ''objects'' category, export features using a ''.g3d'' file format, and [[wikipedia:Visual_Studio_Code|Visual Studio Code]] support using a [[G3DScript]] plugin made by [[Savvy]]. This update featured a lot more stuff but yet there were still many issues, and no patch notes.

=== '''v2.1''' ===
was the third published version of Droplets Utils, adding many promising features like a proper config tab with clipboard settings, and patch notes!
* removed the help menu
* these features we're pretty good and had changed what type of mod ''Dr Utils'' was, mostly, it was still "unstable and very bad" - Droplets21, 2026.
was the next published version of ''Dr Utils'', this update added many things so lets read the patch notes:
* added function-functionality (added [[wikipedia:Function_(computer_programming)|functions]])
* added more controls to the script editor
* fixed some edit menu options
* removed the ability to name two files the same
* added droplet theme
* added more config settings, like toolbar size
* fixed assign variable block
* upgraded the file import menu and fixed some issues (unspecified)
* added function documentation
* removed the help menu
* this update added a lot of interesting and very good features, by this point ''Dr Utils'' was somewhat well-known and ''somewhat'' considered an alternative for base Glue3D.

== History ==

Around December 2025, development shifted toward existing forum solutions as an alternative to the custom software, like [[DjangoBB, the same forum that the Scratch website runs, and PunkwebBB.

From the initial release of Glue3D due to obfuscated code, a select few people would try to deobfuscate it, those people being:

* [[SkyisTumbling]]

* Cubester

* Derpygamer2142

* [[Llwyd]]

* [[Matt]]

== Plugin Development ==

== List of Engines ==
This section will give a small overview of these engines.

=== Inactive modded engines ===

If you want to create a new page about a mod, a plugin or a tutorial for Glue3D, then please follow this guide.

== Step 1: Always Search First ==
'''Never''' create a page without '''searching first'''. Someone may have already started it under a slightly different name.

Go to the search bar, type what you're thinking of, and press Enter. If you see a similar page, edit that one instead.

Example: If you want to write about "Modding", search for it first. There might already be a page called [[Modding]].

== Step 2: Starting the Page ==
There are two ways to create a new page:

<big>'''Method A''': Click a red link</big>

Anywhere on the wiki, if you see a link in red, click it. It will take you straight to an empty edit box.

<big>'''Method B''': Use the search bar</big>

Type your desired page name into search and press Enter. You'll see "Create the page 'Your Title' on this wiki!" ΓÇô click that red text.

== Step 3: The Lead Paragraph ==
'''Every article''' must start with a '''bolded definition''' sentence that tells readers exactly what the page is about, for example:

<big><nowiki>'''[Page name]'''</nowiki> is a [brief description].</big>

Example: '''Glue3D Wiki''' is a community-maintained encyclopedia dedicated to documenting Glue3D, including its projects, games, history, and other community-created content.

Write 1-3 more sentences after that to summarize the most important facts.

== Step 4: Adding Categories ==
'''Categories''' are how pages get organized into lists. Without a category, your page will be lost and hard to find.

At the very bottom of the page, add one of the common Glue3D categories:

{| class="wikitable"
|-
! Category !! Use for
|-
| <nowiki>[[Category:Modifications]]</nowiki> || Any mod that changes how Glue3D works
|-
| <nowiki>[[Category:Utilities]]</nowiki> || Tools, exporters, or scripts
|-
| <nowiki>[[Category:Tutorials]]</nowiki> || How-to guides
|-
| <nowiki>[[Category:Stubs]]</nowiki> || Incomplete pages that need more work
|}
''(More categories will be put up soon)''

You can add multiple categories. Each goes on its own line.

== Quick Start Checklist ==
Before saving a new page, ask yourself:

* ''Did I search for existing pages first?''
* ''Does the first sentence bold the title and define the topic?''
* ''Did I add at least one <nowiki>[[Category:...]]</nowiki> at the bottom?''
* ''Did I preview the page to check for errors?''

If yes, hit '''Save Page''' and congratulations! You've created a new page on the Glue3D Wiki.

<big>'''Next''': Learn how to keep formatting consistent across all pages → [[Glue3D_Wiki:Beginner's_guide/Manual_of_Style|Manual of Style]]</big>
