Although short plugin history was the first form of "Mod" for Glue3D these plugins are plugins that dont directly modify the code of Glue3D making them originally allowed to be made and used. Some examples of plugins are Clipboard Input by YeaHea, Save and Load by [[Droplets21]] Random Noise Texture Generator By Manham528. While simple they were much more common around the initial release of Glue3D due to them not having to deal with obfuscated code.
